Pete Holmstrom, Head Lifeguard
Pete is the newest member of the Recreation Department and comes to us with a wide variety of water and outdoor experience. He grew up a mile from the beach in Massachusetts and spent his summers in or on the water. He worked at a local YMCA lifeguarding and teaching swim lessons as well as sailing and canoeing before chasing the snow in to the mountains. His most recent passion on the water is whitewater rafting and swift water rescue, one of the reasons he landed here in Leadville. Pete holds several certifications including his NREMT Paramedic license, ACLS, PALS, and his American Red Cross lifeguarding.
